"Have you got the cart out yet?" I called from the cab of the truck.
"Yeah yeah, I'm getting to it." Cam answered.
We were getting ready for the sled race and I had the dogs harnessed up and ready to be attached the gangline. All four young dogs at my feet were eager and were ready to sprint at a moments notice.
Cam went around the back of the dog trailer and pulled the three-wheeled rig out and onto the dirt in the make-shift lot were people had parked their cars for the day.

At the start line, Cam hopped onto the rig platforms and kept the brake held down tight. He leaned forward ever so slightly and, when the buzzer rang, released the brake and pushed off the ground. Sonar, Gaia, Splash and Blaze thundered along the trail.
"Hike it up!" Cam called. Gaia and Sonar picked up the pace and Splash and Blaze followed.
The three Huskies present are all litter mates sired by the kennel's best and founding lead dog, Ari. They all worked nicely together, but Splash sometimes likes to play up when his sister's around. Izzy had warned Cam and he kept an eye on them both.
